Commitment to Quality Assurance

At Alex Security UK, we are committed to achieving excellence in all our areas of operations, through the recruitment of high quality staff, health and safety training, the delivery of quality security services and so on. Because of the company’s commitment to quality assurance, the Company subscribe to the following standards:

A. ISO 9001 Quality Management System
ISO 9000 is a family of standards for quality management systems. ISO 9000 is maintained by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies like BSI. Below are some of the requirements in ISO 9001 (which is one of the standards in the ISO 9000 family):

  • a set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business;
  • monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;
  • keeping adequate records;
  • checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary;
  • regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and
  • facilitating continual improvement

B. SIA Approve Contractor Scheme
The SIA Approved Contractor Scheme is a composition of ISO 9001, BS 7858 (Code of Practice for security screening of individuals employed in a security environment), and BS 7499 (Code of Practice for static site guarding and mobile patrol services). The Approved Contractor Scheme introduces a set of operational and performance standards for companies providing private security services. Choosing organisations that meet these standards is your guarantee of quality.

C. SIA and Government Legislation
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) exists to manage the licensing of the private security industry as set out in the Private Security Industry Act 2001. They also aim to raise standards of professionalism and skills within the private security industry and to promote and spread best practice. The objective of the SIA’s Approved Contractor scheme is to protect the public and to raise standards within the private security industry. The scheme is voluntary and was developed in consultation with representatives from across the industry; it only covers those parts of the industry that are regulated by the SIA.
